Something to Stand For trailer

SOMETHING TO STAND FOR is not a “political film.” This movie is for the people who identify as Americans, first and foremost. Americans of all races who genuinely care about our shared history, and understand that even though our nation is still a work in progress – and always will be – there are still a great many things worth standing for.

The movie consists of nine short stories and is part mystery, part history each harrowing tale tells a story you've never heard, about the patriots who built our country. From the legendary rebels we call the “Founding Fathers” to unknown Marines of Iwo Jima – these are the Americans who risked everything to build the country we love and call home.

See the trailer below:

"Something to Stand For" opens in theaters June 27, 2024! This is a Fathom Event and tickets are available to pre-order at Tickets.

Anti-Riot Petition

The recent riots on college campuses led by anti-Israel students...and non-student activists spread at an alarming rate. Confusion, violence, and threats, especially toward Jewish students, appear to be instigated by outside influences to groups who don't always appear to understand their "cause." There is more...

Complex Conflict: The situation in the Middle East is complex, with historical, religious, and geopolitical dimensions. It’s crucial to understand the multifaceted nature of the conflict and avoid oversimplification or one-sided narratives that ignore the broader context.

Address Root Causes: To achieve long-term peace, it’s necessary to address the root causes of the conflict, such as incitement to violence, terrorism, and the refusal to recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. Encouraging a shift towards education for coexistence and mutual respect is crucial for fostering lasting peace.

Combat Terrorism: Hamas, a designated terrorist organization, exploits
civilian areas in Gaza, using them as launch sites for rocket attacks on Israeli civilians. The international community must condemn terrorism in all its forms and hold accountable those who use violence against civilians for political gain.

Seeking Peace: Israel has repeatedly expressed its willingness to engage in dialogue and negotiate for a lasting peace with the Palestinians. However, achieving peace requires a genuine commitment from both sides to recognize each other’s right to exist and to engage in constructive negotiations without violence or terrorism.

Unfortunately our media slants news toward their own agenda rather than reporting facts, so check a variety of sources, including those in other countries. President Biden's view of the situation, including the campus riots, depends on his audience. As a Christian I was raised to love and support God's chosen people and I firmly believe that modern day Israel is their land.

Peace is the ultimate goal over hatred to others. Please sign the anti-rioting petition and support Israel today!

Founded in 1970, Deaf Missions is an international Christian ministry dedicated to clearly communicating the Gospel of Jesus with Deaf people through their heart language, culture, and identity. Deaf Mission serves people in more than 100 countries and 60 denominations, while keeping its focus narrow: creating epic video content in sign language, encouraging the development of Gospel communities, and equipping Deaf leaders by providing access to resources and training in their heart language. In 2020, Deaf Missions completed the first full translation of the Bible in any sign language: the ASLV (American Sign Language Version of the Bible). In 2024, Deaf Missions releases JESUS in theaters—a feature film entirely in American Sign Language. It was based on an 8-minute short entitled “Uncondemned” that the ministry created as a proof of concept. The ministry’s previous productions include the syndicated children’s television series “Dr. Wonder’s Workshop,” “Finger Food Cafe,” and other children’s videos. They have also produced numerous short ASL-storytelling features. Deaf Missions’ first feature-length film was based on the book of Job.

Anne Wilson - REBEL

Anne Wilson is a PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter who has recently released her sophomore album, REBEL. This album features 16 tracks and blends the genres of Christian and Country Music. Collaborations include CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson for “Praying Woman,” GRAMMY-Award winner Chris Tomlin for “The Cross” and Country superstar Jordan Davis for “Country Gold.”

Anne Wilson is the only female artist to have 3 No. 1 singles across the Mediabase Christian AC and Christian Audience Radio charts since she debuted in 2021 with her first single, “My Jesus.” Each song off REBEL was written under the banner question, “what does it mean to be a rebel in the world we live in today?” and thus given a corresponding tag line and bible verse.

Tickets are now on sale for Anne Wilson’s The REBEL Tour with Jordan
Rowe, including 28 dates across the US in Fall 2024. TICKETS

Anne Wilson has a non-profit movement and community called Hey Girl Nation for girls and women of all ages to be encouraged and empowered by who they are in Christ alone. She has a specific desire to be a positive role model for girls who need one to look up to. One that reflects wholesome values that are rarely portrayed in today’s culture. Anne’s heart with her music and platform is to impact culture with a message of hope, faith, courage, and most of all, God’s love.

My Review: Anne Wilson's "REBEL" is a wonderful album that will touch the hearts of all who hear it. I love that each song has a corresponding Bible verse and tag line (can be found in the REBEL physical CD or Vinyl packaging booklet) to bring even deeper meaning to the song. Perfect for part of a daily devotion! The lyrics are as beautiful as the music and I have enjoyed having the entire album, although my favorite is "The Cross" which also features Chris Tomlin. I recommend you add this one to your music collection.

 Anne Wilson Boilerplate Bio:
One of Nashville's most inspiring
young trailblazers, Anne Wilson is a revolution in modern music. The
Lexington, Ky. native, known for her transcendent vocal and down-to-earth storytelling, recently released REBEL, fusing the heart of Contemporary Christian Music with the sound of Country. A bold musical statement with an even bolder message of faith, REBEL features her
hopeful, healing debut Country single “Rain In The Rearview” as well as chart-topping Christian radio ballad “Strong.” The genre-bending album follows her GRAMMY-nominated 2022 debut My Jesus, with the title track becoming a PLATINUM-certified No. 1 hit on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart. Since then, Wilson has tallied over 900M global streams, made her Grand Ole Opry debut and wrapped her entirely sold-out headlining My Jesus Tour. Already named a Spotify Hot Country Artist to Watch, one of CMT's Next Women of Country and a 2024 Opry NextStage Artist, she has made high-profile appearances on TODAY and ACM Honors, while earning her first-ever CMT Music Awards nomination, as well as a Billboard Music Award. Unapologetically real, Wilson approaches her craft with a purpose and conviction that sets her apart, declaring, “I am who I am — I'm Anne Wilson. I love God and that's my everything, but I love Country music, too, and I can have a beautiful mix of both.”

MY REVIEW: My review copy of the Encountering God Study Bible is the Black Leathersoft one with a flexible cover and easy to hold in one hand to read. I love that the words of Jesus are written in red and that the print is easy to read. The Word Studies and Encounter Notes are fantastic; they are written by members of the Blackaby family. Since they are included on the pages of Scripture they bring clarity to what is being read. The Concordance, Timeline, Harmony of the Gospels, and Maps at the back are a valuable addition.

The minor negative for me is that the NKJV is not my favorite translation, but there are notes included at the bottom that useful. The lack of space to write notes by the Scripture is the only thing that would make me hesitate to purchase. But, a separate notebook for writing will work for people who like to make notes as they study. Bottom line: I definitely recommend the Encountering God Study Bible.
