The Wonder of Creation by Louie Giglio with Tama Fortner is a fascinating book of devotions about God and science that is sure to delight elementary-aged children. The engaging illustrations by Nicola Anderson and striking photography in this fun and informative book highlight each of the 100 devotions. The book features a scientific fact or an easy activity for exploring faith, a short Bible verse, and a closing prayer.

I enjoyed reading through The Wonder of Creation. It was informative, and focused on the incredible world that God created for us to enjoy. The devotions fit with the scientific facts perfectly, and the short prayer is an extra connection to God to tie it all together. Younger readers will need more help, but the parental involvement actually makes Devotion Time even more special and memorable. My Review: Beautiful music that quickly brings you into a sense of the presence of God as each song invites you to worship Him along with the musicians. As with most CDs, I had some songs that spoke to me more deeply than others...yet, that list did not remain the same. Just as we have different things on our hearts, a song may have a greater meaning at various times. These all set the tone for time with our Creator. But, I have to admit, that my personal favorite each time I listened to this was #10 - "Great Are You Lord."

The Comeback - Louie Giglio

The Comeback by Louie Giglio is a celebration of new beginnings. For the times when you feel confused, frustrated, or that you have made too many mistakes, this book offers encouragement to keep going. If you are grieving, or life no longer makes sense, Giglio offers perspective.

Louie Giglio has been one of my favorite speakers for many years, and I have loved his books. This one is no exception. Louie mixes personal stories and applies Biblical principles. Filled with examples of second chances and numerous come-back stories, this book is meant to offer hope to all, no matter how discouraged or helpless an individual may feel.


While not very heavy theologically, it does speak clearly to people who need to know that all hope is not lost. I know that during my lowest moments, I am more apt to listen to a simple voice of reason to get me back on the path. Giglio's core audience, due to his Passion events, is mostly young adults who may not have the experience of having to cling to and cultivate the deep faith roots that someone who has waged more battles. I recommend the book to the young...in age or faithwalk or to the people who are having a difficult season of life. But it is a good read and reminder of where our hope lies for anyone.

My Review: Passion: The Bright Light of Glory by Louie Giglio starts out as a brief history of the Passion Conferences. Since the target audience of Passion is for college aged people, I have never attended one, but the music that is introduced is part of the background of my daily life and the speakers are people who have had an impact on my spiritual growth. I also love the core verse: "Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts." -Isaiah 26:8.

This book has key messages that have been presented by some of the best Christian teachers there are. Each speaks the truth found in God's Word to a generation who wants to do more than live a passive life, but to also follow Jesus passionately. But the message is not just to the youth; I have grandchildren old enough to attend Passion and I still eagerly absorb and am refreshed by the words of these speakers. This isn't a book to just sit and read through, but one that has multiple chapters that need to be savored one at a time.
