The Last Supper

The Last Supper is a cinematic Biblical journey that brings to life the ultimate act of love and sacrifice as seen through the eyes of those who walked alongside Jesus. This reimagining unveils untold perspectives with a deeply human and spiritual exploration through the diverse voices surrounding Him.

Witness a intimate portrayal of redemption and grace. Brought to you by Executive Producer Chris Tomlin, "The Last Supper" is directed by Mauro Borrelli and stars Jamie Ward (Jesus), Robert Knepper (Judas), James Faulkner (Caiaphas) and James Oliver Wheatley (Peter).

Watch this powerful film in theaters starting March 14th! You can order your tickets online here: The Last Supper Tickets See the trailer:

MY REVIEW: Based on the Biblical accounts of the final week of the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, "The Last Supper" also has a focus on the final Passover meal eaten by Jesus and His disciples. I did like the details given about meal preparation and the reason for Passover that don't always get focus in other movies.

The scenes aren't as graphic as some portrayals, but I do agree with the PG-13 rating. For me, the symbolism of Satan as a snake in some scenes was disturbing. (Accurate, but I don't even like toy or cartoon snakes!) It is a good film for teens and adults.

Tomlin/UNITED Tour

Great News for 2022! Chris Tomlin and Hillsong UNITED are going on a 33 city tour!

Can you imagine what an awesome event this is going to be? Chris Tomlin and Hillsong UNITED are creators of some of the most incredible praise and worship music I listen to. I have tried to narrow down favorites, but it's impossible.

I have heard Chris in smaller concert venues and loved every song. "I Will Rise" is outstanding for the peace it brings to the believer. But, the music of "Indescribable" brings me sheer joy. Hillsong UNITED has "I Will Never Be the Same Again" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" along with dozens of others I love.

Tickets are ON SALE NOW!! Check out the list of cities included on this marvelous tour and buy yours today. This is truly a concert you don't want to miss! VIP Tour Experiences are available.

Holy Roar ~ Chris Tomlin/Darren Whitehead

Holy Roar is a small book, but not necessarily a quick read. The focus is on the 7 Hebrew words of praise and their specific meanings. Each chapter begins with one of the words with a pronunciation guide, definition, and an example of a Scripture where that specific word is used. Darren Whitehead, pastor of Church of the City in Nashville, then gives a personal story that gives an example of how the word is used that makes it much more relatable to people. Behind the Music is the section where musician/singer/worship leader Chris Tomlin tells the story behind some of his most well-known songs and how each is connected to a form of praise. Each chapter closes with a quote, several Scripture references that use the word (example, halal), and 5 questions to help with personal growth and reflection. The book is published by Thomas Nelson.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this book for reading material, but I highly recommend it for personal growth and as a weekly or daily devotional for anyone wanting to learn more about prise and worship. It does have interest for just the casual reader but I believe you get a much better experience when you use it as an educational tool.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Good, Good Father - Chris Tomlin

Chris Tomlin has a new video, "Good Good Father" (from the album, "Good Good Father) that is touching the hearts of many. This video, featuring Pat Barrett (Housefires), has a special meaning to both men as they compare their own relationships as fathers to their own children with the relationship we have with God the Father.

Barrett, who co-wrote the song with Anthony Brown, and Tomlin recently explained what this song means to them and what they hope to see happen as the song takes on a life beyond the musicians but an expression of hope to millions who are seeking a relationship with their Heavenly Father. Watch video at Story Behind the Song.
