MY REVIEW of the brown leathersoft version of the NKJV Enduring Word Study Bible edited by David Guzik. Students of Scripture will appreciate the introduction at the beginning of the each book, and the insights brought by the commentary throughout each chapter. Guzik's Pastoral Notes bring application to bring an even greater understanding. There's an excellent Concordance and maps at the back to help. The print is easy to read, including the commentary in a slightly smaller size. Great for yourself or as a gift.

The Peace of God Bible invites you to experience peace with God. The story of the Bible is the story of peace—peace with God and with one another. But peace isn’t simply a feeling of calm or ease. It is a way of experiencing life as we were always meant to—in relationship with our Creator and with each other. We can recover a completeness that was once lost but is restored in the gospel.

                      Features include:

• Book introductions to help reveal the part peace plays
• 365 devotionals based on a key verse or passage to guide you
• 365 peace notes offering short, powerful insights to help you understand more deeply the wholeness you have in Christ
• Topical indexes to help you study how God's peace can shape different relationships
• Articles explore what the peace of God is, how to find or recover it, and how to experience eternal salvation because of what God has done for you
• Concise concordance and index of features
• End-of-page translators’ notes and cross-references
• Line-matched, double-column typesetting
• Clear and readable 9.5-point NKJV Comfort Print®

MY REVIEW: In a world that sometimes seems overwhelming with chaos and turmoil, we all seek peace to calm our fears and a place of refuge to regain strength. Jeremiah Johnston, PhD., has edited a Bible that includes key verses, as well as insights, articles, indexes, notes, and devotionals that will guide you to the peace to be found in Jesus Christ. Experience God's Shalom throughout the Bible.

The soft two-toned brown cover is suitable for anyone that looks and feels wonderful. The Bible is the New King James Version (NKJV) which many people enjoy reading. The print is comfortable to read with beautiful maps and an excellent concordance to help broaden your knowledge. I recommend it.

MY REVIEW: The first thing I noticed, of course, was the outward appearance. I love the 2 tone black and gray cover and the textured cover added to my initial positive impression.

The inside is what really matters, though, and I am also pleased with the layout and the additional features. The introductions to each chapter provide needed context. I also loved both the Christ Connection and the Life Application notes, as well as the Passage Outlines.. I also found the footnotes very helpful when I used this Bible with my Sunday School lesson. There's an excellent concordance and several useful maps.

The only things that weren't as favorable apply to my personal preferences. The print is a wonderful size for MOST people. I had no problems reading it, but I would have preferred it just a little bit larger; my eyes are feeling the effects of growing older.

Narrow margins don't leave much room for note-taking. If you don't write in your Bible, not a problem. However, I do like to make notes if a scripture holds a significant meaning to me. Since wider margins and larger font would add to the size of this Bible, it isn't always practical. As is, it's an excellent Bible and I highly recommend getting a copy for yourself.

LIFE IN CHRIST Bible

God has a purpose for your life in this moment. You have a part to play in what He is doing in the world. But knowing why you are here starts with knowing who God says you are. The Life in Christ Bible invites you to embrace your identity and purpose as you.

Order your copy of The Life in Christ Bible today!

• Discover why you matter-not because of anything you do, but because you are made in the image of God.
• Explore how the gospel of Jesus Christ makes you a new person.
• Learn how who God says you are changes how you think, speak, work, and move through the world.

REVIEW: The NKJV Life in Christ Bible is an average-sized Bible that is packed with information to bring added clarity with maps, a topical index, charts and tables, "30 Days of Getting to Know God," "30 Days of Getting to Know Jesus," and the words of Jesus are written in red. I saw a description given on one site: "Discover who God says you are—and who Christ makes you to be—from the pages of Scripture." I love that! I also loved the "My Identity In..." sections. These are available throughout this Bible, but also as part of each chapter info section.

As a Pro and Con opinion, I would like more note-taking space. HOWEVER, if additional space was included, the Bible would weigh more and be more awkward for handling to read. Spiral-bound notebooks are inexpensive, so that works well. And there is room to write less-detailed notes. I do recommend the Bible and there are choices of covers available.
