Heaven Sent

 It's February, love is in the air, and PureFlix has released a new rom-com that will warm your heart and make you laugh. “Heaven Sent” is a romantic comedy about finding love again later in life and rediscovering joy after loss. Themes include letting go of our children/grandchildren, choosing family over fame, finding love after loss, miscommunication, giving grace during misunderstandings.

Starring Karen Abercrombie as Elise, a once famous singer who left that world behind to raise her grandson,
Derek (Jemarcus Kilgore), and Patrick (Leon Pridgen), as a widowed pastor. Both have closed the door on love, but with faith and a little help from friends (Charlene Tilton and Michael J. Patterson), will love blossom? When Derek decides it will help himself to gain independence he is sure the perfect solution for everyone is to secretly live-stream Grandma's new romance. What could go wrong?

 

MY REVIEW: Heaven Sent is a perfect "date night" or movie night with friends film to watch and simply enjoy. There is an underlying message about letting go of the past, but also a reminder that the important memories and people often fit in well during current and future chapters of life.

While there is some drama, it's mostly a fun movie to sit back with your popcorn, relax, and laugh at the antics. I will be watching this movie again! 🍿🥤🎬💞
