Damon Criswell

Damon Criswell is responsible for the original music that is used to highlight and underscore what is being seen onscreen in Beyond The Farthest Star. Film scoring is basically the background music in a film, but it is a vital part of drawing the viewer into the ambience of what is being shown. It can heighten your emotions and reactions...or can be a distraction. I have fallen in love with each piece of Damon's music in any clips I have seen of the film.

To demonstrate what a difference it makes, you need to see this video. In this clip, Benjamin Dane takes fans to composer Damon Criswell's studio to view a BTFS scene with Renee O'Connor and hear the developing film's score: Click here for Damon Criswell BTFS video. What a tremendous impact the music makes on the unfolding scene!

Damon is a talented, award-winning composer who creates emotionally engaging, soul-stirring music in a variety of genres. Some of the films he has written for include Pale Blue Moon (his score won Best Texas Feature), Dreamcatcher , Still Born, Ocean Front Property, and The Final. Damon is also known for composing music for television and ads, in addition to receiving numerous awards from DownBeat Magazine as a pianist and composer.
