Sleepless Night

Another night with hardly no sleep. Part of it was from playing around with this......still have no clue what I am doing!! But another part was nightmares about a friend. Why do people make such poor choices, especially when they know the Truth? There are several people I know and love who are making decisions which break my heart. This nightmare was about a particular friend and how choices made destroyed so many lives, including his own. But it could have been about any of the others who are on my daily prayer list.

I can just imagine how we must daily break the heart of God. He continues to love us, but we are guilty of mocking Him, ignoring Him, or trying to make Him into a personal god of our own making. Do you really want a god who is just a "good ol' boy" who is willing to overlook our sins? Or, a cosmic Santa Claus who provides our material wishes.....whether we have been naughty or nice? I want a God who loves me enough to hold me up to higher expectations. One who will love me and forgive me, but wants me to give Him my best. I worship and serve the God who loves me too much to let me stay where I am right now.

I agree, Cindy. It is heartbreaking when you know people make the wrong choices, but all you can do is love them anyway. God loves us no matter what, but He does want us to become more like Him. And I know that is what brings true happiness. I NEVER have been upset or thought I was wrong when I followed God. He always has our best interest at heart. "But as for me & my house, we will serve...serve...the Lord." We are to serve Him...not ask for money, or a new house, etc.
He knows our needs, and wants to fulfill those in His time.

- Yes, this is the most baffling. Only God knows the hearts of man, but I'd chalk it down to selfishness. The path of righteousness is not and will not be an easy one. When someone is being attacked by the enemy it's a sign of how valuable someone is to the Kingdom. So he attacks HARD. I've been there. We've all been there. He blinds us and magnifies our own desires to dwindle our only real and true purpose in life -- Serving God.

Life is a journey and the sum of things done right and wrong. The enemy comes to steal, kill, destroy, murder, cut off, lie, decieve, etc. In those times of darkness it is best to seek God and His will. NOT our own. Only then will we have the strength to fight and to see clearly. The enemy brings confusion and turmoil.

It's time for people to wake up and seek God. PERIOD. Those going through a battle and those of us not. This is a war and we need to equip ourselves properly. He is greater than anything and any person. We are mighty men and women of God and have power, but we choose not to live as the supernatural beings we have been made to be.

I think we need to rise up and show the world what a real relationship with Christ is like!

We are all human and we fall, "and all things work together for those that love God." I truly believe this scripture and that God can bring good to any situation. It may not seem good on the surface, but when this whole ordeal is over -- a new man will be born and his testimony will be so powerful and great that God will use him to bring others to Christ. Think of all the sinners God used in the Bible. We just have to pray and trust and believe that God will make a way!

Shew...I could write more, but I think that sums up my thoughts...
